Giulia Scamarcia

Detailed Information

Giulia was born in Italy, in a crazy Italian family.
Unable to stop moving, at the age of six, she started devoting herself to rhythmic gymnastics and after to artistic gymnastics and horse riding.
At the age of 19 she approached the circus world, starting to focus on aerial disciplines, such as tissue and hoop.
The same year, she auditioned at the Circus School Flic, in Turin, where she started to approach the contemporary circus world, focusing particularly on swinging trapeze with the teacher and the director of the school himself, Matteo Lo Prete.
She participated in workshops of many choreographers and dancers such as Peter Jasko, Roberto Olivan, Ben Fury, Anton Lachky, Leo Valery, Piergiorgio Milano.
She also had the opportunity to create shows with Roberto Magro, Francesco Sgrò and Raymond Peyramaure, perform in a show directed by Romeo Castellucci and enrich her training with Jury Sakalov, Sascha Doubrovski and Noé Robert.
After two years she successfully auditioned at the National Circus School in Montreal, and started training in swinging trapeze with Victor Fomine and contortion handstand with Elena Fomina, enriched by the artistic knowledge of Nicola Contain and Peter James.
Dynamic, curious and full of madness, Giulia is very enthusiastic about conveying her passion and work in her own unique way.
